$100 billion climate finance “a matter of trust” says Alok Sharma

Speaking at a pre-COP meeting in Milan, Alok Sharma outlined targets for the November climate conference in Glasgow.

He said keeping below a 1.5 degree rise is vital, and countries of the global north need to deliver on the promised $100 billion per year of climate funding. That the COP26 President, said was “a matter of trust”.

John Kerry, the US Climate Envoy, declared that enormous progress in Glasgow is “doable”.
