Harley-Davidson has announced that it is spinning off its electric motorcycle unit, LiveWire, into a separate company.
The new company will be formed through a SPAC merger with AEA Bridges with a valuation of $1.7 billion.
LiveWire expects to be selling over 100,000 bikes by 2026.
With the ticker symbol LVW, LiveWire will be the first pureplay electric motorcycle company on the New York Stock Exchange.
